The thermostat can be controlled by your smartphone or tablet and has a built-in room sensor that detects occupancy in the room so that it can adjust the temperature accordingly. Ecobee3 also comes with IFTTT integration, making it even better than before. You can connect it with other smart devices and services you use daily and create handy automation to make your life easier. These thermostats typically work amazingly, however ever now and then you might get a message reading "Heat/Cool Disabled". This can be frustrating especially if you are hot or cold! We are going to dive into the question of "Why does my Ecobee say heat/cool disabled?" and how to fix it! Why Does My Ecobee Say Heat/Cool Disabled? The Ecobee3 and Ecobee4 thermostats are designed to enable or disable specific features based on temperature sensors in each room. If you're using a single-stage furnace, there will be only one temperature sensor that controls the entire home.
